“V6” produced by Ireland Boss with vocals by Malie Donn is the most streamed song on YouTube in Jamaica for 2023. YouTube has discontinued its chart insights portal, which allowed public viewing of curated data. However, according to data provided exclusively to World Music Views®, the song earned 11.8 million views in Jamaica (combined over several videos) on the platform since January 1.
That is an increase of 1.1 million views compared to last year’s No. 1 song, Jahshii’s “Born Fighter,” which received 10.7 million views between January and December 2022. “V6” was released on April 1, 2023, and is already the fourth most-viewed song on YouTube in Jamaica of all time with 12.76 million local streams.
World Music Views® previously reported that “V6” was also the most streamed song on Spotify in Jamaica for 2023.

For the most part, listening habits on the island remains the same in terms if genre as there is an influx of trap hall songs flooding the platform. With the increase in streaming numbers Jamaicans are streaming and watching watching more trap dancehall songs and videos on YouTube than ever, with some gospel, rap and Afro-pop music making the top 40.
The second most-streamed song in Jamaica is “Talibans” by Byron Messia, which earned 10.05 million local views.
Valiant‘s “Narcissistic” with Stalk Ashley and “Expensive” at No. 3 with 8.7 million and No. 4 with 7.6 million views, respectively.
Newcomer Najeeriii scores two music videos: “Paddle Boat” and “Panton,” with 7.52 million and 6.88 million views, respectively.
Cameroonian singer Libianca is the only foreign act in the top ten with her hit single “People.” “450” is at No. 8 with “Love and Learn,” earning 6.78 million views, and Def Jam Recording artist Masicka’s “Tyrant” is at No. 9 and “Pieces” featuring Jahshii at No. 10 with 6.77 million and 6.75 million views respectively.
