Houston rapper Travis Scott‘s fourth studio album “Utopia” which features Drake, Beyonce and more has dethroned Valiant‘s 4:14 mixtape for the No. 1 spot on Apple Music Jamaica. On Friday, Travis became the No. 1 most consumed artist globally on all digital platforms moving up 25 spots with 8629 points.
The 15 album “Utopia” is currently No. 1 in 113 countries on Apple Music including the U.S. and U.K. as well as 17 counties on iTunes.
This album marks Scott’s follow-up to his third studio album, “Astroworld” (2018), and his collaborative compilation album, “JackBoys” (2019).
Two promotional singles; “K-pop” featuring Bad Bunny and The Weeknd, and “Delresto (Echoes)” have so far been released from the album.
Accompanying the album was a captivating film titled “Circus Maximus,” released a day prior to the album’s launch. Adding to the album’s allure, Travis Scott unveiled four alternative cover arts, each with its unique version, sharing all of them on his Instagram profile in the days leading up to the official release.
Travis Scoot was recently freed of any wrongdoing in the aftermath of the Astroworld concert tragedy in 2021 where 8 people were confirmed dead.
Also in the the top 20 on Apple Music Jamaica is Post Malone’s Austin.
Still on Apple Music Jamaica, Valiant’s “4:14” holds the second position, followed by Various Artists’ “Big Bunx Riddim – EP” at third, and Pablo YG’s “Bad Juvi Mixtape” at fourth. SZA’s “SOS” climbs to the fifth spot, while Masicka’s “438” takes the sixth position extending his lead with the longest running album in the top 10. Beyoncé’s “RENAISSANCE” stays steady at ninth, and Zagga’s “17/06” secures the tenth spot. Continuing down the chart, Dave & Central Cee’s “Split Decision – EP” comes in at eleventh, and J Hus’s “Beautiful And Brutal Yard” holds the twelfth position. Drake & 21 Savage’s “Her Loss” remains unchanged at thirteenth. Notably, Lil Tjay’s “222” rises to the seventeenth spot, and Alkaline’s “Top Prize” claims the nineteenth position. Wrapping up the chart, Burna Boy’s “Love, Damini” takes the twentieth place.
