‘Txtin’ By WSTRN Featuring Alkaline Is Now Certified Silver In The UK (200,000)

Dancehall artist Alkaline has earned his first music certification in the UK for the song “Txtin’,” a 2017 collaboration with the British hip-hop trio WSTRN. The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) awarded the Brit Certified Silver Award to the song on June 21, 2024, after it sold over 200,000 units in the UK, as measured by The Official Charts Company.

Produced by RazorOnTheTrack, “Txtin’” the music video, shot in Jamaica, has over 47 million views on YouTube, and the song has nearly 30 million plays on Spotify.

Among the other certifications announced by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) on Friday include 3 Gold and 2 Platinum and 2 Silver certifications, 20 Gold, 27 Silver and 12 Platinum singles.

Multiple Certifications were awarded to Morgan Wallen One Thing At A Time (Gold album), Whiskey Glasses and Thinkin’ Bout Me both earned Silver.

Eminem’s The Eminem Show is now 7x Platinum and he earned a Silver for his latest track Houdini

Metallica earned two Gold certifications for One and For Whom The Bell Tolls, while Taylor Swift’s Midnight Rain and Fearless (Taylor’s Version) are now certified Gold and Silver.
