2. Tyla – Water

The “Water” dance challenge is currently taking “For You” page on TikTok by storm. This viral dance challenge was started by Litchi, the choreographer for South African singer and dancer Tyla. The dance involves hip-shaking and leg-kicking, followed by pouring a bottle of water down one’s back, synchronized with the lyrics, “Make me sweat, make me hotter, make me lose my breath, make me water.”

As of October 6th, the hashtags #TylaWater and #TylaWaterChallenge have collectively garnered 448.6 million views, and the song has been featured in over 500,000 TikTok videos where users imitate Tyla’s moves.

Tyla released the official music video “Water,” on Friday and it has already surpassed one million views on YouTube. The song was released in July, and combines elements of pop, R&B, Afrobeats, and amapiano.
