Following his Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, Usher tied the knot with his girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea at Vegas Weddings, just hours later. The ceremony, attended by Usher’s mother Jonnetta Patton, marked his third marriage.
Usher, real name Usher Raymond IV, a music executive, began dating Goicoechea in October 2019, and they share two children, one child was born in 2020, followed by a son in 2021. Goicoechea, a music executive, hails from Miami and has worked in the entertainment industry for years, previously at ASCAP and currently at Epic Records. The couple’s romance became public after being spotted together at various events, and they received attention for their public displays of affection.
They were honored by Billboard, and Goicoechea has been supportive of Usher’s career milestones, including his recent honorary doctorate.
The R&B superstar brought out Alicia Keys for a rendition of their 2004 hit ‘My Boo’ at the Super Bowl Half Time Show.
Other guests like H.E.R. and will.i.am joined him on stage, with Justin Bieber declining the offer to perform. In addition to his nuptials and halftime performance, Usher also released his ninth studio album, ‘Coming Home’, featuring collaborations with various artists.
