Dancehall entertainer Vanessa Bling has expanded her business and creative footprint with the opening of a high-end music recording and mixing studio, while offering young female artists the opportunity to record free of charge.
The new facility is designed to provide both emerging and established artists with a professional environment to develop, record and refine their music, with recording and mixing services available.
As part of the venture, Vanessa Bling has announced that she will waive recording fees for young female artists, giving aspiring women in music access to professional studio facilities without the usual recording costs.
The initiative is aimed at encouraging more young women to pursue careers in Jamaica’s music industry while removing one of the financial barriers that can make it difficult for emerging talent to access professional recording resources.
“I want to create opportunities for young women who are serious about their music. Sometimes all an artiste needs is somebody to believe in them and give them a chance,” Bling said.
The move adds another dimension to Vanessa Bling’s career beyond recording and performing, positioning the dancehall artist as an entrepreneur investing directly in music infrastructure and artist development.
The studio is expected to function as a creative hub for recording sessions, collaborations and music development, with the fee-waiver programme providing additional support for young women seeking to establish themselves in the industry.
Vanessa Bling, who emerged as a prominent voice in dancehall through songs including “Independent Ladies” and “Everything Fi Hold Him,” has maintained a significant presence in Jamaican music and on social media. She is currently among the most-followed living Jamaican music artists on Instagram, with 4.1 million followers as of August 2026.
