Vybz Kartel Debuts at #1 with “Amout” On YouTube Official Jamaica Chart

Grammy nominated dancehall icon Vybz Kartel storms to the top of the chart with his brand-new release, Amout, amassing an impressive 390,852 streams in its debut week in Jamaica. This marks the third No. 1 for Kartel, since his release from prison in July last year. Globally, Amout has amassed 1.8 million streams globally since its release on January 17.

The Official Jamaica YouTube chart established in 2018 by World Music Views calculates the top streaming tracks and music videos in the island between Friday and Thursday of each week. The chart is exclusively carried on worldmusicviews.com and syndicated on Television Jamaica during ER on Fridays.

Emerging star Jamal continues to shine, with Time holding the #2 spot after five weeks on the chart and previously topping it for three weeks. Ballandor climbs to #3 in its 20th week, demonstrating enduring popularity with 324,620 streams. Meanwhile, Psalms inches up to #17.

After debuting last week, RajahWild’s Planet to Planet climbs two spots to #4, gaining significant traction with 314,839 streams, a +39,605 increase. This track is poised to become a fan favorite if the momentum continues.

It’s a tough week for heavyweights Popcaan and Jahmiel, as both artists see their tracks drop significantly. Kick It Wid Myself falls three places to #6 with a 104,309-stream decrease, while Prosperity drops six spots to #7, shedding 147,896 streams in just its second week.
