This marks the fourth consecutive year Drake has claimed the top spot on the island, highlighting his enduring appeal across diverse audiences.
Spotify’s 2024 top 10 artists list in Jamaica shared exclusively with WMV also ranks Vybz Kartel at No. 2, making him the leading dancehall act in the country.
WMV had the honor of breaking the news to the “Fever” artist on Friday, to which he responded, “That is an amazing feeling.” Currently in Trinidad, Vybz Kartel is promoting his rum line and gearing up for his highly anticipated Freedom Street return concert on December 31. At 48, Kartel holds the distinction of being the oldest dancehall artist to dominate as the top streaming act in Jamaica, with a catalog that spans over two decades.
Newcomers like RajahWild also making the top 5 as well as R&B hitmaker Sza ranking top 10.
