Vybz Kartel has officially redefined dancehall’s global reach—this time becoming the first Jamaican artist to solo headline Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, performing two consecutive nights at the 20,000-capacity venue.

Kartel celebrated the milestone on Instagram with the caption:

“🇨🇦 HISTORY MADE!!! NIGHT 1 COMPLETE. #VYBZKARTEL3PEAT @champagnepapi #GODISTHEGREATEST. THE KING HAS ARRIVED ON DI PRIVATE. ✈️ HATERS WONT SURVIVE IT! #DancehallCyaaStall #GodistheGreatest.”

Kartel opened his set with “Hustle The Money”, with the intro:

“It’s a pleasure to be here again, unuh ready to have a fantastic night?”

He then delivered a tightly-orchestrated medley of dancehall anthems including “Fever”, “Summertime”, “Real Bad Man’ and more.

The OVO/Live Nation production combined live pyrotechnics, full-screen visuals, and a homage to Jamaica’s colors—green, gold, and black—created a cinematic spectacle fitting for dancehall’s reigning monarch.

Kartel performed in a striking white hoodie emblazoned with the Jamaican flag, neon-green graffiti lettering, and black-and-green images of Kingston’s streets. The outfit, paired with black leather cargo pants, diamond jewelry, and oversized sunglasses, symbolized both patriotism and power—an unmistakable statement of dominance and national pride.
