Vybz Kartel’s ER Interviews with Anthony Miller Trend at No. 1 and No. 2 on YouTube

Out of the top 50 trending videos in Jamaica on August 11, 2024, influential dancehall artist Vybz Kartel is featured in nine entries. The Gaza 2.0 artist takes the top two spots with “Vybz Kartel Returns: The ER Interview – Part 1” and “Part 2,” both released by Television Jamaica minutes after the television broadcast.

The appointment TV interviews, which first aired last Friday, August 9, feature the Gold-selling artist in conversation with veteran journalist Anthony Miller, who quizzed him about his 13 years behind bars. The deejay wittily answered questions about the “voice notes” linked to his murder case and detailed how he was able to be acquitted.

Other trending videos featuring the World Boss include “Vybz Kartel Mention ‘17,000 MURDERS’ + His Influence On KIDS + Spending Over $300 Million On APPEAL” holding steady at fourth place, and “Meet Vybz Kartel’s Fiancé Sidem” at ninth, despite dropping six positions.

This prevalence of Vybz Kartel-related content online comes as the independent artist launched his YouTube blog channel titled “Kiss Me Baby.”

On the music side Squash – Shubout (Official Music Video) is top trending.

On Apple Music Jamaica Spice’s “Mirror 25” spends a third day at No. 1. It is her third No. 1 album.

Masicka’s “Generation of Kings” follows, up three spots to second place. Latto’s “Sugar Honey Iced Tea” drops one position to third, while Vybz Kartel’s “First Week Out” drops to fourth. Govana’s “Legacy” on fifth place. Vybz Kartel appears again with “To Tanesha,” which drops two spots to sixth. Chlöe’s “Trouble In Paradise” climbs one spot to seventh, Polo G’s “HOOD POET” drops one spot to eighth, Jimin’s “MUSE” falls three positions to ninth, and Billie Eilish’s “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT” remains steady at tenth.
