Sprint King Usain Bolt and Manager NJ are not letting up, and with their new song ,the duo have gotten better at making music.
The song titled Winning Is A Must was released on Friday with accompanying music video.
No stranger to winning, NJ sings, “don’t be afraid to fail/as long as you keep the faith/you must prevail/pay attention to life detail/yea winning is a must/yes winning is a must.”
The words of the song are in keeping with The Puma Ambassador’s mantra of winning. Last September the 100m and 200m sprint world record holder told the Jamaican Gleaner, “I never put limits on myself. [I] don’t want to sound cliche, but the truth is I am always striving for whatever is the best in whatever I am doing. I like my growth in the music business so far and the different things that my team and I are learning. As I have stated before, it’s important for me to get a foot in the musical door, [so] I have no problem creeping, then walk, and then the running starts. We know once I get running, winning is a must, and that’s just my mindset.”
NJ told World Music Views that the song is an ode to their journey looking back at where they are coming from till now. “Where we from G everything about our life is a Win,” he said.
Although Bolt himself doesn’t sing, he is prominently featured doing his signature dances in the music video and is the executive producer.
Already the song is getting good reviews on Twitter. With the hashtag “winning is a must”, another person commented “well worth the watch.”
Others give a stamp of approval with “positive vibes”, and “Big Chune.”
