‘Water’ by Tyla Snow is certified 2x Platinum in Canada, having sold 160,000 combined on-demand streams, digital downloads, and physical singles in the country. This marks Tyla’s first 2x platinum single in Canada after it peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard Canadian chart.

Her other top streaming song, “Jump,” featuring Skillibeng and Gunna, enters the Canadian Hot 100 this week at #87, and it spends a fourth week at No. 1 on the U.K.’s Afrobeats chart.

‘Jump’ is her top charting song on Spotify in South Africa at #22, and in the United Kingdom, it is at #67.

Globally, “Jump” is at #171, surpassing 30 million streams since the album was released on March 21, in tandem with the album “Tyla.” The album is #2 on this week’s Billboard’s World Albums Chart after 4 weeks and the visualizer for ‘Jump’ has surpassed 4 million streams on YouTube.

In an Instagram Live recently, the Grammy winner singer Tyla, reflected on the incredible journey that led to his meteoric rise as a globally charting artist. “I don’t know how I got here, but I’m so happy that my parents got to see me succeed. They came to America for the first time because of me,” she shares, her voice tinged with gratitude and humility.

“I know people are wondering how I came out of nowhere and achieved this much in no time,” Tyla acknowledges. “But… I don’t know myself, but I will only call it grace and hard work.”

InFebruary Tyla became the first winner of the first Best African Music Performance Grammy for “Water”. “Winning the first Best African Music Performance Grammy was amazing, and I couldn’t have asked for a better Grammy,” she recalls. “My parents are still bragging about it till this day.”

As a tribute to the unwavering support of her parents, whose love and encouragement have been the driving force behind her success, she says:

“I’m just so happy that they got to be there and come to America for the first time because of me, I’m happy that my parents also got to enjoy and watch their child succeed for it’s every parent’s dream.”

Meanwhile on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart, “Legend: The Best Of Bob Marley & The Wailers” spends 223 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1. Marley also has “Kaya” and “Exodus” re-entering at #10 and #9 this week.
