It has been 20 years since Wayne Wonder’s Grammy nominated album “No Holding Back” was released via VP Records in partnership with Atlantic. The BPI certified Gold project has surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify as it incessantly closer to being certified Gold in the US by the RIAA according to Luminate (Neilson/MRC Data).
“No Holding Back” gets more than 67,000 streams daily and features cuts like “Bounce Along,” “Saddest Day,” as well as the chart topping single “No Letting Go” which is certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA). The Diwali Riddim single peaked at No. 11 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and No. 14 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs
With 11 albums under his belt “No Holding Back”mis Wayne’s most successful project on Spotify and features production from Steve “Lenky” Marsden, Tony Kelly, Donovan Germain as well as former riddim duo “Leftside and Esco”.
The album peaked at 2 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart and No. 29 on the Billboard 200 the first week of its release then went on the spend 18 weeks on the chart. In the U.K. the album peaked at No. 4 on the Official Charts. As of June this year the album has surpassed 470,000 units which include 326,000 pure copies which were sold during its early years of release.
