World Music Views Official YouTube Jamaica Chart: Areakode’s Rey Rico Climbs To #1

On the WMV Official YouTube Jamaica chart for the week ending October 3, 2024, Areakode’s Rey Rico on the Juta Riddim produced by Cash Code Records jumps to the top spot, rising up three positions with 294,270 local streams, up by an impressive 83,459 from the previous week. This gives Rey Rico its second nonconsecutive week at No. 1. Meanwhile, IKATION by Kraff Gad holds steady at No. 2 for the second consecutive week, tallying 264,288 streams, showing a small but steady gain of 834 streams.

Vybz Kartel’s The Comet slips two spots to No. 3 after reigning for two weeks at the top. It gathered 250,486 streams, a drop of 88,224, showing some loss of momentum in its third week on the chart. Skippa debuts with Gts, entering at No. 4 with 226,019 streams, while Ai Milly’s Bob Cat returns to the chart at No. 5, pulling in 218,977 streams after three weeks.

Shenseea’s Dating Szn takes a hit, dropping three spots to No. 6 with 203,405 streams, down by 34,466. Jamal’s Ballandor holds steady at No. 7, posting a slight gain of 3,805 streams. Squash’s Shubout continues to perform well after 11 weeks, landing at No. 8 with 198,941 streams, while Higher Life by Kranium at No. 9 records 174,707 streams, climbing up with a solid 10,445 gain.

Squash rounds out the top 10 with Like This, slipping three places to No. 10 and pulling in 162,794 streams, down 8,904 from the previous week. Other notable entries include Govana’s Legacy debuting at No. 14, CeCe Winans’ gospel hit Come Jesus Come climbing four spots to No. 16 with a notable stream boost, and Jahmiel’s new single Self Worthdebuting at No. 17.
