Jamaica’s soundtrack this summer has been defined by a mix of dancehall dominance, fresh collaborations, and international fusions, according to YouTube data from May 29 to August 26, 2025. The numbers reveal who truly kept speakers booming and flags waving across the island.

Masicka and Rvssian Rule the Season

At No. 1, “Rich Sex” by Masicka and Rvssian racked up 3.89 million views, cementing itself as the anthem of the summer. Masicka doubled down with another solo smash, “Mute” (No. 4, 2.63M views), and rounded out the season with “Whites” at No. 20. Together, the entries highlight his unmatched run of consistency as he continues to shape the sound of modern dancehall.

Valiant’s “Passenger Princess” Flies High

Right behind him, Valiant teamed with Rvssian for “Passenger Princess”, earning 3.46M views and a massive presence across parties, streets, and playlists. The single reaffirmed Valiant’s ability to turn slang into sing-alongs, making him one of dancehall’s most bankable young stars.

Chronic Law and the Rise of Armanii

At No. 3, Chronic Law’s “NY Girls” (feat. cjthechemist) collected 2.75M views, a gritty ode that resonated far beyond his St. Thomas roots. Meanwhile, newcomer Armanii broke into the top five with “8:00 PM” (feat. Malie Donn) at 2.48M views, showing the new generation’s growing grip on the charts.

Global Flavors: Shenseea, Skillibeng, and Julian Marley

Crossovers also made waves this summer. Moliy, Silent Addy, Skillibeng & Shenseea’s “Shake It To The Max (FLY) Remix” tied with Armanii at No. 6 (2.48M views).  Elsewhere, A!MS, Julian Marley & Antaeus pushed positivity with “Light & Love” (No. 12, 1.63M views).

Rising Stars & Street Anthems

The chart also spotlighted breakthrough names. Malie Donn & Dan Sky’s “Body Tea” claimed No. 8 (1.79M views), while Skippa’s “JR GONG” at No. 9 (1.67M views) and “Cash Code” at No. 19 (1.26M views) made him a name to watch. Jamal, another breakout act, placed twice with “999” (No. 15) and “No Doubts” with Teebone (No. 18).

Veterans Still in the Mix

Even with the rise of Gen-Z dancehall, the icons made their presence felt. Vybz Kartel’s “God Is The Greatest” landed at No. 17 (1.39M views).
