Xania Monet’s Unfolded has officially cracked the Top 10 on Apple Music Jamaica, marking the first time in history that an AI artist has achieved such a feat. Monet, an AI persona powered by Timbaland’s tech company and created by Mississippi-based Talisha Jones using Suno’s AI technology, has become a sensation despite having no touring history or traditional catalog. The digital performer recently ignited a fierce bidding war among major labels, ultimately signing a multimillion-dollar deal with Hallwood Media — with offers reportedly reaching as high as $3 million.
The album Unfolded has already surpassed 3.5 million streams on Spotify, with Jamaica being its strongest performing market. On Spotify, the album is currently charting at #26 in South Africa.
On Apple Music, the album continues to build global traction, ranking #10 in Jamaica, #12 in Swaziland, #13 in Botswana, #13 in Liberia, #13 in Malawi, #16 in Turks and Caicos, #17 in Cayman Islands, #18 in St. Lucia, #18 in Uganda, #19 in Namibia, #24 in South Africa, #27 in Seychelles, #28 in The Bahamas, #35 in Guyana, #38 in Saint Kitts and Nevis, #43 in Tanzania, #44 in Ghana, #51 in Barbados, #54 in Gambia, #58 in Anguilla, #62 in Belize, #69 in Fiji, #70 in Suriname, #73 in Sierra Leone, and #84 in the United States.
On iTunes, Unfolded has also made a modest debut, entering at #128 in the United States
Monet’s breakout single, “How Was I Supposed to Know?”, broke into Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales Top 10 and reached No. 22 on the overall Digital Song Sales chart, while her five-song catalog has already earned an estimated $52,000 in revenue and 17 million streams in two months.
Jones, who envisioned Monet as a fully realized digital persona rather than a gimmick, leveraged AI songwriting tools to create polished, emotionally resonant tracks like “I Ask For So Little” and “The Strong Don’t Get a Break.”
Back on Apple Music Jamaica chart, Cardi B is still on the mic yelling “AM I THE DRAMA?” and honestly, yes sis, you are — you’ve been at No. 1 for two weeks straight and still haven’t passed the mic. Taylor Swift sits right behind her, sequins sparkling with The Life of a Showgirl, reminding everyone that pop never sleeps, even in Kingston.
Najeeriii is holding down the No. 3 spot with Book of Bob, proving that yard still loves a youth with lyrics. Meanwhile, Mariah the Scientist’s HEARTS SOLD SEPARATELY sounds like a breakup at a science fair — all formulas and feelings.
Down the list, Skillibeng is still reminding everyone he’s International, Squash is Hate Being Famous but somehow keeps charting, and Skippa shows up twice like a man who lost his own EP and came back with 4Granny just in case. Masicka’s Generation of Kings remains steady, Drake won’t leave (he has two albums in the Top 20, because of course), and Lila Iké is out here giving us Treasure Self Love — a needed reminder after listening to half of these heartbreak records.
