Young Thug, the Atlanta-based eccentric rapper, has announced the release of his new album titled “Business Is Business” while he remains incarcerated. This album will be his first full-length release since 2021’s “Punk” and comes amidst legal troubles as he faces RICO charges alongside fellow rapper Gunna and numerous others in a large-scale gang indictment.

The album’s cover art depicts Young Thug in a courtroom surrounded by his co-defendants. The 15 track set is executive produced by top Producer Metro Boomin and will feature Drake on tracks 1(Paradise In Cleveland) an 9(Oh U Went). Other features include 21 Savage, Future, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Yak Gotti, who along with Coi Leray have shown their support for the album, sharing the cryptic countdown on social media.

Gunna, who was released from jail in December after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy, also recently released his own album titled “A Gift & a Curse.”
The charges against Young Thug and the alleged members of the Young Slime Life gang include murder, drug and gun possession, witness intimidation, carjacking, robbery, theft, and drug dealing. The indictment involved a total of 28 defendants associated with YSL and included 56 counts related to gang activity and racketeering.
With the massive support from the music industry for the Atlantic Records album is already poised for success. Thug will join a list of artist to have released albums while incarcerated including Vybz Kartel and 2Pac. The later holding the record of being the first artist to go No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart while incarcerated.
