For his latest challenge, popular American YouTuber MrBeast, born James Stephen “Jimmy” Donaldson, has built 100 homes for families in need around the world.
In the video released on Saturday, MrBeast is seen building and handing over 100 homes, 26 of which were handed to families in Jamaica.
The 26 year old known for his over the top challenges chronicled the video by outlining the fact that half a million Jamaicans are without proper housing.
The MrBeast’s YouTube channel has over 290 million subscribers.
Jamaicans react to the superstar influencer’s kind geniture calling on government agencies to match his donations.

Donaldson who grew up in Greenville, North Carolina has the most subscribers on YouTube. He started posting YouTube videos at 13 under the handle MrBeast6000 and gained popularity in 2017 with a video where he counted to 100,000. As his popularity grew, his videos became more grand and extravagant. Donaldson hired his childhood friends to help run his brand, and by 2024, his team included over 250 people.
Besides his main channel, he operates Beast Reacts, MrBeast Gaming, MrBeast 2 (formerly MrBeast Shorts), and Beast Philanthropy. He also founded MrBeast Burger, Feastables, and co-created the fundraisers Team Trees and Team Seas, raising over $23 million and $30 million, respectively.
Donaldson won the Streamy Awards’ Creator of the Year four times (2020-2023) and Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards’ Favorite Male Creator twice (2022-2023). Time named him one of the world’s 100 most influential people in 2023. He was the highest-paid YouTube creator in 2022 according to Forbes, making 54 million a year and a total estimated net worth of $500 million.
Two years ago he sought a valuation of 1.5 billion dollars for his entire enterprise of restraints, philanthropy and content businesses.
