Ziggy Marley’s “Beach In Hawaii,” released by Tuff Gong Worldwide, has surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. This marks the Grammy-winning reggae star’s second single to achieve this milestone, following “True To Myself.”
Originally released on July 2, 2006, “Beach In Hawaii” draws inspiration from Ziggy’s personal experiences in Hawaii and is featured on his Grammy-winning album, Love Is My Religion. Reflecting on the song’s creation, he shared, “I remember where I was when I wrote that song. I was at the beach in Hawaii, looking at the ocean… The songs we write usually have a realistic and reality behind it, so that’s what ‘Beach In Hawaii’ was.”
In 2022, Ziggy Marley launched the “Beach In Hawaii” NFT in collaboration with One Of, a platform dedicated to environmentally sustainable NFTs. The collection features three tiers, with prices starting at $10 for the Gold level and an ongoing bid at the Diamond level.
