More than a decade after “F**kin’ Problems” became one of the defining rap collaborations of the early 2010s, 2 Chainz has finally unboxed a Spotify plaque celebrating the track surpassing one billion streams.
The Atlanta rapper showed off the milestone plaque while reflecting on just how stacked the A$AP Rocky record was, bringing together Rocky, Drake, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar on the same track.
Looking at the achievement, 2 Chainz joked about how difficult it would be to recreate that lineup today in light of the Drake’s ongoing beef with Kendrick and A$AP Rocky.
“So you got a billion streams, you can’t even pay a billion dollars for none of these people to be on the same record again. Crazy…. I’ll take it.”

And the billion-stream milestone is very real. Spotify currently lists “F**kin’ Problems” at more than 1.04 billion streams, while third-party Spotify tracking data recently placed it at approximately 1.048 billion.
A Collaboration That Aged Into a Classic
Released on October 24, 2012, “F**kin’ Problems” was an A$AP Rocky single featuring Drake, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar. It later appeared on Rocky’s 2013 debut studio album, LONG.LIVE.A$AP. Spotify credits the record to all four artists and lists its original 2012 release through A$AP Rocky Recordings/RCA Records.
The record arrived at a remarkable point in each rapper’s career. Rocky was preparing his major-label debut, 2 Chainz was enjoying his mainstream breakthrough, Drake was already one of rap’s biggest stars, and Kendrick Lamar was emerging from the success of good kid, m.A.A.d city.
Commercially, the collaboration became a major hit. “F**kin’ Problems” climbed to No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February 2013 and remained on the chart for 27 weeks.
It also earned a Best Rap Song nomination at the 56th Grammy Awards, with the Recording Academy listing A$AP Rocky, Drake, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar in connection with the nomination.
2 Chainz’s Part Had an Unexpected Origin
There is also an interesting story behind one of the song’s most recognizable elements.
In a 2026 interview discussed by VICE, 2 Chainz explained that the vocals that eventually became the song’s hook originally came from a full verse he had recorded for a different Drake song. According to 2 Chainz, Drake recognized that part of the recording could work as a hook, helping transform it into the centerpiece listeners eventually heard on “F**kin’ Problems.”
The finished record was produced by Noah “40” Shebib alongside Drake, working under his C. Papi production credit. Songwriting credits include Rocky, Drake, 2 Chainz, Kendrick Lamar, Shebib and the late Stephen “Static Major” Garrett.
