Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B has pulled out of her BZR WKND Jamaica performance, just 10 days before she was scheduled to headline the event at the National Stadium in Kingston.
The American rapper, who was set to take the stage on Sunday, October 18, will no longer perform at the festival, according to a statement issued by her representatives to Billboard on Thursday, October 8.
“Cardi B will not be performing at BZR WKND Jamaica on October 18, 2026,” the statement confirmed.
“Cardi appreciates the love and support from her fans in Jamaica and hopes to see them in the future.”
Her representatives also directed patrons seeking information about the festival, tickets and other event-related matters to the organizers, noting that updates regarding Cardi B’s future performances would be shared through her official channels.
No reason was given for the cancellation.
Cardi B’s appearance was expected to be one of the major attractions of the four-day festival, which celebrates music, culture, fashion, food, tourism and entertainment.
The performance would also have marked a major Caribbean stadium appearance for the Grammy winner, at the same venue where dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel staged his historic Freedom Street concert on New Year’s Eve 2024.
The BZR WKND Jamaica entertainment lineup also includes dancehall queen Spice, who was announced as host, alongside American R&B singer Keyshia Cole and Jamaican entertainers Malie Donn, Ding Dong, Stalk Ashley, Shaneil Muir and DJ MAC.
Cardi B’s withdrawal comes following a successful year for the rapper, whose Little Miss Drama Tour reportedly grossed more than US$70 million and sold approximately 453,000 tickets.
As of Thursday, October 8, festival organizers had not publicly responded to Billboard’s request for comment.
It remains unclear whether the organizers will announce a replacement headliner or make adjustments to the festival’s scheduled activities.
WMV News will continue to monitor developments surrounding BZR WKND Jamaica, including any announcements regarding the event and ticket holders.
