The Grammy-winning superstar is set to make history in Kingston as BZR WKND returns with a four-day celebration of music, culture and entertainment.
Cardi B is bringing her larger-than-life energy to Jamaica, with the Grammy-winning rapper set to headline BZR WKND Jamaica 2026 at Kingston’s National Stadium on Sunday, October 18. The performance will mark the first stadium-headlining concert of her career in the Caribbean.
Billed as “Cardi B & Friends,” the concert will serve as the marquee event of the four-day BZR WKND, which runs from October 16-19 and brings together music, food, fashion, tourism, culture and entertainment.
BZR WKND was first staged in August 2023 with Chris Brown & Friends at the National Stadium. A planned 2024 staging was cancelled, and now, two years later, the event is preparing its return with one of the biggest names in hip-hop at the helm. The Bronx-raised Cardi B, who is of Dominican and Trinidadian descent, will bring her catalogue of global hits to Kingston for the occasion.
Her Jamaica appearance follows the success of her Little Miss Drama Tour, which reportedly grossed more than $70 million and sold 453,000 tickets during its run from February to April 2026.
The tour supported Cardi’s sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The project produced several Billboard Hot 100 hits, including “Outside,” “Ring” featuring Kehlani and “Magnet,” while also housing her chart-topping singles “Up” and “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion.
For BZR WKND organizers Ryan Burke and Grammy-winning reggae musician Roy “Gramps” Morgan, bringing Cardi B to Kingston signals an ambition to further establish the festival as a major destination event.
“Following the incredible success of our inaugural event, we knew BZR WKND had to return even bigger,” the organizers said in a statement.
The festival’s return, however, comes with past controversy stemming from its inaugural staging.
In August 2024, Hardware and Lumber filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court seeking to recover an alleged outstanding balance for supplies used in connection with the 2023 Chris Brown & Friends concert at the National Stadium.
According to the claim, the supplies purchased amounted to $6,908,927.82, of which $1,221,000 was allegedly paid, leaving an outstanding balance of $5,687,927.82.
No settlement of the matter has been publicly reported, even as the organizers move ahead with a new staging of BZR WKND.
Against that backdrop, the 2026 event represents an ambitious return for the festival, with Cardi B’s first Caribbean stadium-headlining performance expected to be its biggest draw.
Early-bird tickets for BZR WKND Jamaica 2026 go on sale Friday, August 21. Additional performers, travel packages, ticket details and festival experiences are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
