Drake has made Official Charts history in the United Kingdom, becoming the first artist ever to debut three studio albums inside the UK Top 10 simultaneously.
Leading the charge is ICEMAN, which enters the Official Albums Chart at No. 1, giving Drake his seventh UK chart-topping album. The Canadian superstar’s remarkable week continues with MAID OF HONOUR debuting at No. 6 and HABIBTI arriving at No. 7. The achievement brings Drake’s career total to 17 Top 10 albums in the UK.
The feat is one rarely seen in modern chart history. According to the Official Charts Company, the last time an artist debuted three albums inside the Top 10 at the same time was more than three decades ago, when Prince accomplished the feat in 1993 with The Hits / The B-Sides, The Hits 1 and The Hits 2. Drake, however, becomes the first artist to achieve the milestone with three studio albums released simultaneously.
Elsewhere on the chart, Michael Jackson continues to benefit from renewed interest surrounding his forthcoming biopic. Four of the King of Pop’s albums appear inside this week’s Top 40, led by The Essential Michael Jackson at No. 2. Classic albums Thriller and Bad land at No. 4 and No. 8 respectively, while Off The Wall re-enters the chart at No. 37.
British singer Freya Skye celebrates a career milestone as stardust becomes her first Official Albums Chart entry, debuting at No. 35. The project also tops this week’s Official Vinyl Albums Chart as the UK’s best-selling vinyl release of the week.
Meanwhile, London rock outfit The Karma Effect secure their second Top 40 album with Cruel Intentions, which debuts at No. 39.
For Drake, the chart achievement adds another chapter to a career already filled with records and milestones. More than a decade after first dominating UK charts, he continues to set new benchmarks, proving that his commercial appeal remains as powerful as ever.
