Detroit rocker says “Halfway 2 Jesus” is about faith, forgiveness, second chances and bringing Americans together.

Kid Rock is putting faith and friendship ahead of politics, revealing that fellow Detroit rapper Eminem collaborated with him on his new Christian album, Halfway 2 Jesus.

During an appearance on Fox News’ My View with Lara Trump on Saturday, October 10, Kid Rock discussed his nearly 40-year friendship with Eminem and explained why their political differences have never been allowed to damage their relationship.

“We said years ago, we said, ‘Man, let’s not let politics divide us.’ And we never did,” Kid Rock shared.

The outspoken rocker said Eminem understood the message behind the collaboration, which he hopes will encourage Americans to respect one another despite opposing political beliefs.

Kid Rock, a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump, and Eminem, who has publicly criticized Trump, have maintained their friendship through years of political disagreements.

The musician described Eminem as a “class act” and suggested that two Detroit rappers with different political perspectives could demonstrate the importance of unity and mutual respect.

A New Musical Direction Rooted in Faith

Kid Rock’s latest project, Halfway 2 Jesus, represents a deeper exploration of his Christian faith, with songs focused on forgiveness, redemption and second chances.

The Detroit-born entertainer explained that his renewed spiritual focus influenced the album’s creation, particularly following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

“I didn’t get saved. I’m still Kid Rock. I’m still going to drink a beer and smoke a cigar,” he said.

He added that his relationship with God has always been an important part of his life.

Beyond the album, Kid Rock has ambitious plans to introduce Christian revival-style concerts to major arenas and stadiums.
