Protoje’s “The Art Of Acceptance” Debuts at No. 9 on Billboard Reggae Albums Chart

Protoje’s seventh studio album The Art Of Acceptance, released via In.Digg.Nation Collective, debuts at No. 9 on the U.S. Billboard Reggae Albums chart, marking the lowest-charting peak among his six top 10 projects. He previously earned two No. 1 albums: Ancient Future (2015) and A Matter of Time (2018), both of which debuted at the summit, where they remind for just one week.

His debut album 7 Year Itch did not chart, but his sophomore project The 8 Year Affair peaked at No. 5, while In Search of Lost Time reached No. 6 and the Grammy-nominated Third Time’s The Charm peaked at No. 8. Still, The Art Of Acceptance stands as the highest-charting debut of 2026 so far, with Alkaline’s NPT being the only other 2026 project to debut on the chart, entering at No. 10.

The Billboard Reggae Albums chart ranks the week’s most popular reggae albums based on multimetric consumption, blending traditional album sales, streaming-equivalent albums, and track-equivalent albums, as compiled by Luminate.

Released April 17, The Art Of Acceptance is led by the singles “Big 45,” “At We Feet” featuring Damian Marley, “Goddess” featuring Shenseea, and “Ting Loud” featuring Masicka. The album also includes appearances from Pressure Busspipe and Stephen Marley, and has surpassed 11 million streams on Spotify.

Elsewhere on the chart, Legend: The Best of Bob Marley and the Wailers by Bob Marley and the Wailers extends its record with 329 total weeks on the chart, including 328 at No. 1. The Trinity by Sean Paul re-enters at No. 2, while Dutty Rock holds at No. 5. Best of Shaggy: Boombastic Collection lands at No. 3 for Shaggy. Stick Figure occupies three spots this week, with World on Fire at No. 4, Wisdom at No. 7, and Set in Stone at No. 10. Meanwhile, Greatest Hits by UB40sits at No. 6, and Live in St. Augustine by Rebelution is at No. 8.
