KINGSTON, Jamaica — Ticket sales for the embattled BZR WKND Jamaica 2026 festival have been suspended until further notice, following confirmation that American rap superstar Cardi B will no longer be performing at the event.
The two-day festival, scheduled for October 18–19 at Independence Park/National Stadium in Kingston, was being promoted as “BZR WKND Jamaica 2026 feat. Cardi B & Friends.”
A notice posted on the event’s official ticketing page informed patrons that sales had been halted due to circumstances beyond the organisers’ control.
“Due to circumstances beyond our control, we regret to inform you that ticket sales have been suspended until further notice,” the notice stated.
jamaica.tikkets.com also apologised for the inconvenience and expressed appreciation for the patience and understanding of customers.
The suspension comes amid uncertainty surrounding the festival following Cardi B’s withdrawal from the lineup, just days before the event’s scheduled staging.
The Grammy-winning rapper had been billed as the headline attraction, with the festival expected to draw thousands of patrons for two days of entertainment in the Jamaican capital.
Cardi B has since addressed her withdrawal, apologising to Jamaican fans and indicating that unresolved arrangements prevented her from fulfilling the scheduled performance.
She also pushed back against speculation that poor ticket sales were responsible for her decision not to attend.
Meanwhile, the ticketing notice has not indicated whether the festival will proceed with a revise lineup, be postponed, or be cancelled.
There has also been no clarification in the notice regarding refunds for patrons who have already purchased tickets.
With the festival scheduled to take place in just over a week, patrons are now awaiting further communication from organisers regarding the event’s future and the arrangements for ticket holders.
