BZR WKND Jamaica 2026 Postponed To December Just Days Before Scheduled Event

KINGSTON, Jamaica — October 13, 2026: Just five days before it was scheduled to take place, BZR WKND Jamaica 2026 has been postponed, with organisers announcing that the highly anticipated entertainment event will now be held on December 20, 2026, instead of Sunday, October 18.

In an official statement, organisers confirmed that American rapper Cardi B, who was expected to perform at the event, would no longer be able to appear as originally scheduled.

The statement opened with condolences to Cardi B and her family following the passing of a loved one.

“First and foremost, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Cardi B and her family on the passing of their loved one,” the organisers stated.

They subsequently explained that circumstances beyond their control had prevented the Grammy-winning rapper from performing, resulting in the decision to postpone the event.

Organisers acknowledged the disappointment caused by the announcement and apologised to those affected.

“We understand the disappointment this news may bring, especially to those who have purchased tickets, made travel arrangements, booked accommodations, and eagerly anticipated this experience,” the statement read.

The organisers maintained that they had fulfilled their financial obligations and honoured their contractual commitments in preparation for the event.

They also stressed that the postponement was not a reflection of any lack of commitment to delivering the promised entertainment experience.

Organisers Promise Bigger Event in December

Despite the setback, BZR WKND organisers have assured patrons that the event will go ahead on December 20.

“One thing is certain: We will not let you down. A show will happen!” the statement declared.

According to the organisers, the vision for BZR WKND extends beyond any single performer, with the event intended to showcase world-class entertainment, music and culture in Jamaica.

They indicated that the additional time would be used to develop an even bigger, star-studded production.

However, the statement did not confirm whether Cardi B would perform on the rescheduled date or identify any replacement headliners.

Ticket Holders Offered Refunds

Organisers confirmed that all previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled event on December 20.

Patrons who are unable to attend the new date, or who would prefer not to attend, may request a refund by emailing eventsteamjamaica@kanoopays.com.

Refund requests should include the purchaser’s full name, ticket purchase confirmation, order or transaction reference number, and the email address used to purchase the tickets.

Further instructions regarding refunds are expected to be communicated through the event’s official channels.

Press Conference Expected

Organisers also announced plans to host a press conference later this week to address questions surrounding the postponement and provide additional information about the rescheduled event.

While organisers have promised to deliver an extraordinary experience in December, questions remain about the revised entertainment lineup, the circumstances surrounding the late postponement and the financial implications for affected patrons.
