SÃO PAULO, Brazil — Scottish DJ and producer Calvin Harris has officially entered the Guinness World Records after performing a DJ set before an estimated 1.6 million people in São Paulo, Brazil.
The record-breaking performance took place on February 8, 2026, when Harris performed from a carnival float on Rua da Consolação, near Avenida Paulista. Guinness World Records recognized the event as the largest attendance for a DJ set by a single artist.
The massive crowd transformed the streets of Brazil’s most populous city into a sprawling celebration. Harris performed several of his biggest hits, including This Is What You Came For, One Kiss, I Need Your Love and We Found Love, as fans sang and danced throughout the event.
Adding a Brazilian touch to his appearance, Harris wore a national football shirt bearing the number “00” and the name “Calvinho” on the back.
Guinness World Records adjudicator Will Munford described the turnout as a reflection of Harris’s international reach, noting that an estimated 1.6 million people attended the performance.
The achievement adds another milestone to Harris’s career. Known for collaborations with some of the world’s biggest recording artists and for producing numerous international dance and pop hits, the DJ has spent years performing at major festivals and events around the globe.
