KINGSTON, Jamaica — Lovers Rock will take centre stage during the Christmas season as Beres Hammond, Marcia Griffiths, Tanya Stephens and Chris Martin headline “Love Note: A Soulful Lovers Rock Experience” at Old Golf Academy, Park Place, New Kingston, on Sunday, December 27, 2026.
Presented by Harmony House, Love Note brings together four distinctive Jamaican voices for an evening celebrating romance, reggae and soulful music. With a lineup spanning different generations and styles, the event promises a musical journey through classic Lovers Rock and contemporary reggae.
At the forefront is Beres Hammond, one of the most recognisable voices in Jamaican music. Known for a catalogue filled with enduring love songs, Hammond has built a career around soulful performances and deeply personal lyrics that have resonated with audiences in Jamaica and across the world.
His extensive repertoire of romantic favourites makes him a natural centrepiece for an event dedicated to Lovers Rock.
Joining him is reggae icon Marcia Griffiths, whose remarkable career has made her one of the most enduring female figures in Jamaican music. From her solo recordings to her celebrated work as part of the I-Threes, Griffiths has remained an important presence in reggae for decades.
Her appearance alongside Hammond gives Love Note a strong connection to the rich history of Jamaican music while bringing two veteran performers onto the same Christmas weekend stage.
Tanya Stephens adds another dimension to the lineup. Renowned for her distinctive songwriting, sharp storytelling and commanding stage presence, Stephens has created a catalogue that explores love and relationships with an honesty that has helped distinguish her throughout her career.
