Dancehall icon Vybz Kartel’s latest studio album, God & Time, debuts at No. 6 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart dated June 20, 2026.

The project becomes Kartel’s 12th album to debut on the sales- and streaming-driven chart. It also earns the highest-debut for dancehall album in 2026 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart.

God & Time marks Vybz Kartel’s third album to debut at No. 6 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, following Vybz Kartel Roots & Culture: The Voice of the Jamaican Ghetto (2013) and Of Dons & Divas (2020). The dancehall icon’s highest-charting project remains King of the Dancehall, which peaked at No. 2 in 2016 and spent 19 weeks on the chart. Other top 10 entries include Viking (Vybz Is King) (No. 3, 2015), Kingston Story (No. 7, 2011), Reggae Love Songs & Other Things (No. 7, 2014), First Week Out (No. 8, 2024), Born Fi Dis (Prelude) (No. 9, 2021), and Viking: 10 Year Anniversary (No. 10, 2025).

Released on June 5, God & Time features 14 tracks and collaborations with Spice, Shenseea, Farruko, Skillibeng and Wizkid. The album received a four-star rating from World Music Views (WMV) and has been met with strong support from fans across multiple markets.

The Billboard Reggae Albums chart is a weekly ranking of the most popular reggae, dancehall, and dub music albums in the United States, based on physical and digital sales, as well as streaming data.

The full Billboard Reggae Albums Chart will be released on Tuesday.

The Billboard debut comes just days after Kartel returned to the UK charts for the first time in nearly five years. God & Time entered the Official Album Downloads Chart at No. 18 for the week ending June 18, 2026, giving the deejay his highest-charting album ever on the digital sales-only tally.

The achievement makes God & Time the highest-charting dancehall album released in 2026 on the UK Official Album Downloads Chart. Earlier this year, Alkaline reached No. 32 with NPT, while Protoje debuted at No. 54 with The Art of Acceptance. Both projects spent one week on the chart.

Kartel’s history on the UK downloads chart dates back to July 2020 when Of Dons & Divas peaked at No. 60. He returned in August 2021 with Born Fi Dis (Prelude), which reached No. 92. Both projects spent a single week on the tally.

Compiled by the Official Charts Company, the Official Album Downloads Chart ranks the UK’s top-selling digital albums each week based exclusively on download sales. Unlike the main Official Albums Chart, which combines physical sales, digital downloads and streaming activity, the downloads chart measures only paid digital purchases.

With strong performances in both the United States and the United Kingdom, God & Time continues to demonstrate Kartel’s enduring commercial appeal and reinforces his position as one of dancehall’s most influential global artists.
