Dancehall star Masicka delivered his first-ever performance at Germany’s iconic Summerjam Festival, five years after earning Gold certification in the country for his feature on Bonez MC’s hit single “Big Body Benz.”
Taking to the Green Stage on Saturday night, the Whites deejay treated thousands of reggae and dancehall fans to a high-energy set packed with fan favourites including “20 Matic,” “Limelight,” “Reverse Time,” “Tyrant,” “Image,” and “Whites.”
The Jamaican lyricist also shared the stage with fellow dancehall star Dexta Daps for the first live performance of their hit collaboration, “Leader.”
Germany has been linked to Masicka’s international rise since 2021, when the Gifted artiste received a Gold certification from Germany’s BMVI (The German Federal Music Industry) for his 2020 collaboration with German rap superstar Bonez MC on “Big Body Benz.” The single surpassed 200,000 sales and streaming equivalents units in Germany and appeared on Bonez MC’s Gold-certified album Hollywood.

At the time Masicka celebrated the achievement by sharing a video of himself unboxing the prestigious Gold plaque for his Instagram followers, captioning the post: “Gold out ina the world #438,” while tagging Bonez MC.
Masicka is set to headline the Barclays center in Brooklyn New York on August 15, one day after the release of his third studio album Forever Reign.
