Reggae star Tarrus Riley will no longer perform at the Best Of The Best Miami 2026 concert, according to an official statement released by his management.
In a statement shared via Tarrus Riley’s official channels, management expressed disappointment over the development, stating that the singer was officially contracted and advertised for the event but has been removed from the lineup by the promoters.
According to the statement, Riley and his team have fully honored their contractual obligations and remained ready and willing to perform.
“Mr. Riley was, and remains, willing and able to perform as agreed. Neither Mr. Riley nor his management have breached any contractual obligations related to this event. The decision to remove Tarrus Riley from the lineup was made solely and unilaterally by the promoters of Best Of The Best,” the statement reads.
The concert is scheduled to take place in Miami, Florida, on May 24, 2026.
Addressing fans directly, Riley shared a message expressing his disappointment while promising to reconnect with supporters in South Florida soon.
“Miami, mi heart did set fi come gi yuh a proper show. Mi did ready — full band, full energy. But some things outta mi control. Fort Lauderdale, June 5, mi a come hold a vibe wid yu acoustic style. Wi soon link up again, real way.”
Management also sought to clarify any confusion regarding Riley’s previously announced June 5 appearance in Fort Lauderdale. They emphasized that the event is a separate acoustic performance organized through the City of Fort Lauderdale and the Mayor’s Office, featuring a different production and audience, and therefore does not conflict with the full-band performance that had been promoted for Best Of The Best.
Best Of The Best also responded with their own statement on why they decided to remove Riley , but several fans have expressed totem online that their reason for going to the show was to see Tarrus.
One person commented, “People paid to see him perform. Some people specifically to see him!!! This makes no sense. One performance has nothing to do with other. We paid good money for this event. Not all can afford that so let them go see him for free and let people enjoy smh. At least add Wayne Wonder in.”
Another stated, “@bestofthebest man I’m flying in from Canada based on the line up , and mainly for him . I’m flabbergasted at the reasoning behind his removal based on a free event . So why did I pay then ???”
