American reggae-rock band The Elovaters earns the year’s highest debut on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart as Shark Belly Motel enters at No. 5 on the ranking dated May 30, 2026. The album launches with more than 4,000 units in combined sales and streaming equivalents, giving Ineffable Records its two highest reggae album debuts of 2026.
At No. 1, Bob Marley And The Wailers’ Legend: The Best Of Bob Marley And The Wailers continues its historic run, spending a remarkable 333 weeks atop the chart. Sean Paul holds the No. 2 position with Dutty Classics Collection.
Shaggy’s latest album Lottery, released via VP Records, did not make a chart entry, after selling 800 album equivalent units during the first week of release. Of that amount 750,000 in streams and 300 copies in US sales. Globally, the album has surpassed 10 million streams on Spotify, driven by the tracks Boom Body with Aidonia and Akon which has surpassed 6 million streams and Looking Lovely with Robin Thicke.
However, the Grammy-winning entertainer remains represented by his enduring catalog. Best Of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection places at No. 3 this week, extending its longevity on the chart. Stick Figure’s World On Fire follows closely at No. 4.
The Billboard Reggae Albums chart measures the top-performing reggae projects in the United States based on a combination of album sales and official on-demand audio and video streaming activity.
Further down the top 10, UB40’s Greatest Hits lands at No. 6, while Sean Paul makes a second appearance at No. 7 with Dutty Rock. Stick Figure also occupies the No. 8 and No. 9 spots with Wisdom and Set In Stone, respectively. Rounding out the chart is Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers at No. 10.
