Jamaican Dancehall star Kranium has earned his second Gold certification in the United States.

According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), his 2016 single “We Can,” featuring Canadian rapper Tory Lanez, was officially certified Gold by the RIAA on June 29, 2026, for sales and streams surpassing 500,000 certified units.

Released on September 23, via Atlantic Records, “We Can” was produced by Sakpase & DJ Marley Waters.

It has surpassed 68 million streams on Spotify becoming one of Kranium’s fourth most streamed song on the platform and Lanez 50th.

On YouTube, the Zac Facts directed music video has surpassed 33 million views as of June 29, 2026.

Kranium’s first Gold certification came in September 2019, when his breakthrough hit “Nobody Has To Know” was certified Gold after surpassing 500,000 certified units in the U.S.

With two Gold-certified singles to his name, Kranium is the first Dancehall artists to earn a Gold RIAA certification on a lead single this year.

The New York native signed a multi-album global recording deal with Atlantic Records in December 2014 and remained with the label for eight years before announcing his departure via X in March 2023 saying, “Finally a free agent. Big up Atlantic Records for the times we spent together and big up to the fans. I’m free to do me.”

Reflecting on his time at the major label, the Jamaican Dancehall star said being the only Dancehall artist on Atlantic’s roster came with both significant achievements and difficult moments.

“I was the only Dancehall artist signed to a major when I did the deal and it wasn’t easy being a dancehall artist based in New York City! Although I had a lot of great moments I had terrible experience in the mix and that’s what comes with taking chances!!”

Despite those challenges, Kranium expressed gratitude for the partnership and highlighted the commercial milestones they achieved together.

“Over a Billion stream!! 3 silver in the UK! Certified Gold in America! 3 Certified Gold and a Platinum in Canada… that’s not a easy mountain to climb and we did that… but we finally come to an end of a dope partnership… A ‘NEW’ journey has officially begin!”

He also thanked Atlantic’s Vice President of Marketing, Brianna Harrison, for supporting his career, adding, “I wanna thank @breeroyal_ for fighting for me in that building!!”

Among the releases during his eight-year tenure at Atlantic were his debut album Rumors (2015), Midnight Sparks (2019), and the Toxic (2021) and In Too Deep (2022) EPs.
