Four weeks after its release, Vybz Kartel’s God & Time is closing in on 6,000 album-equivalent units in the United States.

According to data obtained exclusively by World Music Views from Luminate, the album debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart the week of June 20, 2026 with 3,489 album-equivalent units in its opening week, slightly exceeding our initial projections. The first-week total was driven by 4.9 million on-demand U.S. streams, along with 617 pure album sales, primarily from digital song downloads.

Billboard calculates album-equivalent units using a weighted streaming formula, with 1,000 premium streams or 2,500 ad-supported streams counting as one album sale.

Since its June 5 release, God & Time has has generated 7.6 million on-demand streams in the U.S., comprising 3.9 million premium streams and 3.6 million ad-supported streams. Combined with its pure sales, the project has accumulated 5,957 album-equivalent units as of June 26, 2026.

Luminate (formerly MRC Data) is an entertainment data and analytics company that tracks metrics across the music, film, and television industries in the US since 1991 and globally since 2019. It functions as the exclusive data partner for the Billboard Charts, collecting and processing the sales and streaming metrics used to rank songs and albums from most streaming and sales platforms.

Globally, God & Time has now surpassed 10 million streams on Spotify, the third highest streaming Jamaican album released this year.
